Promoting similarities, looking towards the future – This is the theme throughout the working conference, exchanging experiences between the Standing Committees of Long An and Hung Yen Provincial Party Committees, taking place this afternoon. Former President Truong Tan Sang attended.
The delegation of Hung Yen province was led by the Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary - Nguyen Huu Nghia. On the Long An province side, there were Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An province - Nguyen Thanh Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut received and worked with the delegation.

Long An and Hung Yen are two provinces located at two ends of the country, but have similarities, both are localities rich in revolutionary traditions, with a relationship of solidarity and affection. After the country was unified, dozens of militia units from Hung Yen were sent to Long An to do irrigation, reclaim wasteland and contribute to protecting the southern border of the country.
This conference is based on the fact that after 5 months, Long An and Hung Yen provinces signed the Development Cooperation Program between the two provinces. In a friendly and open atmosphere , delegates from Long An and Hung Yen provinces quickly informed and shared about the socio-economic development situation, potential, strengths, and similarities of the two localities. In particular, both localities are adjacent to the two largest cities in the country, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This similarity is a favorable condition for the two localities to focus on exchanging information around the fields such as: high-tech industry development, clean industry; land clearance to attract investment; renewable energy; urban construction, transport infrastructure, logistics, new rural areas, etc.

Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long An province said: "Through the contents shared and discussed at this conference, former President Truong Tan Sang highly welcomed the spirit of cooperation and development of the two localities. In particular, this conference is a solid foundation for the close friendship between Long An and Hung Yen provinces, and a bridge for the departments and branches of the two provinces to regularly exchange, share experiences, support, cooperate in socio-economic development and build a clean and strong Party."

This morning, April 6, the delegation of the two provinces visited Long An International Port located in Tan Tap commune, Can Giuoc district.
With an area of about 150 hectares, belonging to the ecosystem of industrial park - seaport - service urban area with a total project area of 1,935 hectares, playing an important role in the chain of goods trade in the Mekong Delta region. Through visiting and learning, the delegation of Hung Yen province highly appreciated the favorable location of Long An international port. Because this is an important place for gathering, transiting and trading goods of the Southern region with other regions in the country and the world.

The delegation offered flowers and incense at the Memorial Stele of the Inter-District Bases 5, 6, 7, 8 and the Flower Movement Committee and the Public Movement Committee of the Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh Regional Party Committee (Giong Dua Base) in My Hanh Nam Commune, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province.
This is the place that marks an important historical period in the formation and development of a part of the agencies and units under the Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh Regional Party Committee, and is the place to train cadres operating in the inner city during the fierce historical period from after Dong Khoi to 1964./.
