Training course on museum exhibition work

In order to improve professional skills for museum staff and officers, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of museums and relics in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City organized a training course on exhibition work led by two foreign experts Peter Kaufmann and Wendy Erd, at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum from October 28 to November 1, 2013.

The workshop introduces new ideas, approaches and methods for creating vibrant, community-engaged exhibitions. The curriculum includes:

1. About community-based exhibitions
2. The value of the story from the subject himself in the exhibition
3. Artifacts from stories, stories from artifacts
4. Visitor voices and interactive exhibits
5. Exhibition experience and imaginary space
