TPO - Due to floodwaters causing flooding in many areas of Thanh Hoa city, more than 3,000 students were unable to go to school today (September 24).
On the morning of September 24, information from the Department ofEducation and Training of Thanh Hoa city said that due to the influence of storm No. 4, heavy rain occurred in the area, along with water from the upper reaches of Ma River and Chu River pouring in, causing flooding in wards such as Hoang Quang, Thieu Khanh, and Thieu Duong.

To ensure safety, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa city has decided to let students in the flooded wards stay home from school.
Accordingly, there are about more than 3,000 students at schools that are absent from school, including: Thieu Duong Primary School, Thieu Duong Secondary School, Thieu Khanh Primary School, Thieu Khanh Secondary School, Hoang Quang Primary School, Hoang Quang Secondary School.
Schools have been closed since September 23rd, after the floodwaters flooded the schools. As of this morning (September 24th), the water has not receded completely, so students are still unable to return to school.
In addition to Thanh Hoa city, in the past few days in mountainous districts such as Muong Lat, Quan Son, Lang Chanh, Ba Thuoc... of Thanh Hoa, heavy rains and floods have caused landslides, flooding, and isolated villages. To ensure safety, localities have proactively allowed students to stay home from school until the water recedes.
According to records, on the morning of September 24, in Thanh Hoa, the rain has stopped and flood water is receding. Functional forces, local authorities and people are focusing on overcoming the aftermath of the flood, aiming to soon stabilize life.
