The most notable of these is “ant” Pham Van Mach. At the age of 49, Vietnam’s top athlete still won the world championship for the 7th time.
In the men's 55kg weight class, Pham Van Mach defeated strong opponents Muru Ramamurthy and Shiv Choram Sundi (both Indians) to win the gold medal.
This is a sensational achievement of this "veteran", because at the age of U50, not many athletes are still able to maintain peak performance and maintain a perfect body structure like Pham Van Mach.
In addition to Pham Van Mach, the first day of competition in the bodybuilding category at this year's world championship also witnessed the resounding success of other athletes from the Vietnamese delegation.
Specifically, Nguyen Thi Kim Dung won the gold medal in the women's classical bodybuilding category under 1m65 tall, Phan Huynh Duc won the gold medal in the men's 65kg category and Ho Huy Binh won the gold medal in the men's 70kg category.
