According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, the cold air mass weakened from January 24th and will not be replenished. Therefore, from January 25th onwards, temperatures in the North and Central regions will gradually rise during the last days of January. However, the North will remain cold, with very cold temperatures in mountainous areas (especially at night and early morning).
The meteorological and hydrological agency has also just released a report on long-term weather trends in Vietnam, predicting that from February to April, cold air masses will be weaker than the multi-year average but may still cause severe cold (mainly in February) accompanied by frost and snow in high mountainous areas. In February, there will be unseasonal rains in the South and Central Highlands, with average rainfall of about 10-30mm (5-10mm higher than the multi-year average) and 30-60mm in March (10-20mm higher than the multi-year average). At the same time, from the end of February, the Southeast region will begin to experience hot weather.
