From early morning, along the road leaving Hoa Thinh commune, a large crowd of people stood waiting to see off the officers and soldiers. Many were moved and felt a sense of longing as they said goodbye to the soldiers who had directly helped their families rebuild their homes after the devastating flood.

According to Colonel Cao Van Muoi, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, with the spirit of "helping the people is a command from the heart," from December 1, 2025 to the present, more than 5,000 officers and soldiers have participated in supporting 13 vulnerable communes and wards in Dak Lak province. Overcoming harsh weather conditions, the forces have rebuilt 331 houses that were completely destroyed, repaired 90 severely damaged houses; and cleared more than 63km of canals and rural roads. Many schools, health stations, and residential areas have been cleaned up; many valuable assets have been discovered by the soldiers and returned to the people.
Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign," by January 12th, Dak Lak province had completed the repair of 100% of houses damaged by floods, including 5,455 houses with damaged roofs and 892 houses with severe damage. Of the 606 households whose houses were completely destroyed, 529 have been handed over on a "turnkey" basis.

Despite 77 houses still under construction amidst unfavorable weather conditions, the military, government, and local people are making every effort to complete them before January 15, 2026, helping residents settle down and stabilize their lives before the New Year.
