On October 28, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine decided to establish a working group related to scientific integrity. The working group consists of 7 members with Dr. Pham Quoc Dung, Vice Principal of the school, as the head of the group.
Immediately after its establishment, two associate professors on this list of members withdrew from the working group.
One case of withdrawal from the working group stemmed from information circulating on social media related to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong, who was accused of violating scientific integrity.

This person asked to withdraw from the working group to avoid speculation and ensure objectivity and transparency in the review process.
The remaining case requested to withdraw from the working group for personal reasons.
According to the decision, the Working Group on Scientific Integrity of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will work for 30 days, starting from October 28, and will conduct a review according to the provisions of the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation 2025 (Article 8) and Decree 262/2025/ND-CP (Article 4, Article 6) within the scope of training and research.
The decision to establish the school was made after the uproar over the case of 24-year-old candidate Au Nhat Huy who was admitted to the school's doctoral program in Internal Medicine.
Candidate Au Nhat Huy is the son of Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong, Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of Internal Medicine Department, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
