According to Khaosod , Madam Pang spoke out for the first time following the disappointing performances of Thai football at the 33rd SEA Games. At a meeting of the Thai Olympic Committee, the FAT President apologized to the committee and acknowledged the federation's mistakes.
Regarding men's football, Madam Pang argued that the Football Association of Thailand had been ineffective in preparing the team. Specifically, she pointed out that scheduling conflicts within the Thai National League were a factor preventing players from being optimally prepared for the SEA Games 33.
Speaking before the Thai Olympic Committee, the FAT President bitterly shared: “First of all, I must apologize to the Olympic Committee because we were unable to win any gold medals in football at the SEA Games, especially in men's football.”
I admit that this time it was FAT's fault for not allowing the players to rest after playing in the domestic league. The FAT leadership needs a lot of flexibility.”
Regarding women's football, Madam Pang explained that it was a more difficult task, as the host team had to face the Philippines. She stated that facing a team with 18 naturalized players out of a total of 23 players was a major challenge for the Thai women's team.
Finally, the FAT President wanted to propose that the Thai Olympic Committee consider sending a football team to the Asian Games (ASIAD). She explained that the FAT had reviewed the situation and found that ASIAD coincides with FIFA Days. This would be very convenient as clubs would allow players time to focus on national team duties.
