Talking to us in the newly completed house, Ms. Vo Thi Le Hue (Vam Co commune) was extremely emotional. Previously, she and her three children lived in a dilapidated house but had no money to renovate or repair it. Now, having a solid house, even though it is just a simple corrugated iron roof and brick walls, is a dream for her. “The 70 million VND supported by the Union is a huge amount of money for me. Without this support, my children and I would probably still be living in the old house and would not be able to build a new house like this. I am so happy that I can’t sleep!” - Ms. Hue was emotional.
Over 16 years working at ChingLuh Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Thuan Dao Industrial Park, she has received the attention of the Union in many different forms. And the Union Shelter is a priceless gift, strengthening her belief in the Union organization, wishing to be associated with the Company for a long time.
Sharing the joy of receiving the Union Shelter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang - Employee of JS Vina Co., Ltd., Long Hau Industrial Park - Hoa Binh , said that she was living in a dream when she held in her hand the decision to donate the Union Shelter presented by the Provincial Federation of Labor in late June 2025. The house was built in Hamlet 4, Thu Thua Commune. Family life was not complete, no house, no land, for many years, Ms. Trang and her son lived with their parents. Having a house of their own seemed impossible until the Company's grassroots Union informed her that the Provincial Federation of Labor had given her a Union Shelter. The brothers gave her land, supported her with working days, and in just over 2 months, Ms. Trang had a house that was truly a warm home to live happily. Ms. Trang shared: "Living with relatives, sometimes I have to work overtime, go early, come home late, and also bother my family, having a house will be more comfortable, especially when my son has his own family".
Caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers is a practical activity that is always of interest to all levels of the union. The program of giving away union shelters is a joint effort to share with workers and workers who are having difficulty with housing, helping them to "settle down and have a career", and to work and produce with peace of mind. The program has become an activity with a deep and wide influence, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and "mutual love" among union members and workers. The funding to support the construction of union shelters is drawn from the Golden Heart Fund contributed by union members and workers.
Chairman of the grassroots trade union of ChingLuh Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Nguyen Van Khai said: "The grassroots trade union coordinates with the higher-level trade union to consider the workers' circumstances very carefully. Even if their houses are far away like Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Can Tho ,... we still go there to survey before making a decision. Every time the workers receive a house, they are very happy! We find the work we do even more meaningful."
Since the beginning of 2025, the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor has disbursed and donated 89 Union Shelters to union members and employees with a total amount of more than 6 billion VND. The donated Union Shelters not only provide material support but are also a source of spiritual encouragement, helping employees feel secure about their accommodation and stay with their units and businesses for a long time.
Another Union Shelter built is another joy. It is the happiness of the union members' families and also the happiness of the union cadres./.
