Common roof of the capital's small and medium enterprise community

After 29 years of establishment and development, Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HANOISME) continues to affirm its position as a common home accompanying the capital's business community to overcome difficulties, build an increasingly developed association and members.

At the 29th anniversary celebration of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HANOISME) on May 15 in Hanoi, Mr. Mac Quoc Anh - Vice President and General Secretary of HANOISME said that since its establishment in 1995, with the mission of supporting and representing the small and medium enterprise community in the capital, the association has always promoted its assigned roles, functions and tasks. Accordingly, it gathers and helps small and medium enterprises, creating the strength of the business community in the city.

By working closely with government agencies and domestic and foreign partners, the association has made specific proposals to improve the business environment, reduce burdens and create fair opportunities for all businesses.

Over the past 29 years, with the support and companionship of the small and medium-sized enterprise community in the capital, the members have grown continuously. Up to now, HANOISME has had more than 10,000 member enterprises.

In the period of 2023 - 2028, the association aims to increase the number of members to 15,000 with 30 branches and affiliated clubs. The association strives to have 50 enterprises in the top 500 enterprises achieving the National Brand and Quality title, 50% of member enterprises participating in the Project on key industrial products and supporting industries.

"The Association has been striving towards the First Class Labor Medal by 2025, continuing to affirm its position as a leading business association in the capital, a common home for businesses, protecting legitimate rights and interests to build an increasingly developed association," said the Vice President of HANOISME.

Regarding the activities to support members in the coming time, Mr. Mac Quoc Anh said that the association will focus on a number of activities assigned by the City and the Intermediary. In particular, it will specify solutions and programs, especially the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises that was implemented in 2018.

Strengthen training, coaching, and improve management capacity and skills of workers in enterprises, industrial clusters, industrial parks and factories.

Along with that, the association will work closely with credit institutions and banks to have many suitable financial solutions such as businesses having access to suitable interest rates, reducing lending conditions, and increasing unsecured loan levels to help businesses recover and develop.

In particular, the association continues to strengthen dialogue with management agencies to remove difficulties for members regarding tax procedures, customs, investment licensing, land use right certificates, etc.

Continue to coordinate with universities and research institutes to support start-up and innovation activities to provide new quality human resources for member businesses, meeting the increasing demands of the market.

In addition, the association will continue to seek and honor outstanding entrepreneurs and businesses that contribute to the economic development of the capital as well as the whole country.

The 2024 Thang Long Entrepreneurs and Enterprises Honor Ceremony will take place on September 29 at the Hanoi Opera House. It is expected that 70 outstanding entrepreneurs and enterprises with outstanding achievements in production and business activities, actively contributing to the association's activities and social security programs will be honored.
