Playing without energy, Man City suffered a humiliating 1-3 defeat against hosts Bodoe/Glimt in the Champions League group stage on the morning of January 21st.

Despite being considered the favorites before the match in the seventh round of the Champions League group stage, Man City suffered a setback when Bodoe/Glimt took a 2-0 lead within the first 25 minutes.

Notably, both goals conceded came from lightning-fast counter-attacks by the home team.

In the 23rd minute, from a pass by Blomberg, striker Høgh rose high to head the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Donnarumma, opening the scoring for the Norwegian club.

Just two minutes later, the Blomberg-Høgh duo continued to inflict misery on the English representatives.

Following an assist from the right wing, Bodoe/Glimt's number 9 unleashed a spectacular volley, completing his brace and increasing the score to 2-0, much to the astonishment of manager Pep Guardiola.

After 90 minutes, Man City accepted defeat at Aspmyra with a score of 1-3, extending "The Citizens'" poor run of form with a second consecutive loss in just one week.
