The event was launched not only to promote and honor the achievements of the Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training sector in the past 50 years, but also to mark an important milestone in the journey of educational innovation in the city in particular and the country in general, when the values of physical education and sports are enhanced in school education.

Recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, Vovinam martial arts was chosen as a performance for students because of its suitability to the Vietnamese physique and the typical values of Vietnamese Martial Arts such as martial spirit, traditional identity and national pride. Through practicing Vovinam in particular and sports in general, students are nurtured with many valuable qualities for their journey to adulthood such as solidarity, team spirit, confidence, will, discipline and courage. Each young individual who develops comprehensively will contribute to building a dynamic Vietnamese generation ready to enter the era of national development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City shared: “On the occasion of celebrating 50 years of educational innovation in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with units and schools to implement the Vovinam martial arts performance program, with the hope that students will become a meaningful part in the journey to set a double record for Vietnam and the world. Over the past time, practicing together has helped students become more connected, form the habit of regular physical exercise and nurture national pride. On this journey, we appreciate the cooperation of the Nestlé MILO brand, not only as a sponsor and strategic partner of this program, but also for the school sports movement of Ho Chi Minh City over the past many years”.
Mr. Binu Jacob, General Director of Nestlé Vietnam Company said: “Over the past 30 years, Nestlé MILO has always considered school sports as one of the important foundations for the comprehensive development of Vietnamese children. Therefore, we have been implementing many diverse sports playgrounds, in which the Vovinam school tournaments over the past many years and the Vovinam martial arts performance program that set a double record today are one of the typical marks. Through this, we hope to spread the spirit of sports training to the community, especially students, the next representatives for the future of the country. We believe that the multi-stakeholder cooperation between schools, families, departments and businesses will continue to create positive, long-term impacts and contribute to realizing the goal of building a dynamic and comprehensively developed young generation of Vietnam”.
Not only joining hands with the performance program, Nestlé MILO has always actively cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Training to implement the Dynamic Vietnam program since 2016.
