Reporting to the working delegation, Dr. Tran Quang Manh - Director of Yen Bai City Medical Center said, affected by storm No. 3, Yen Bai City Medical Center has 3 flooded medical stations: Nam Cuong, Hong Ha and Nguyen Thai Hoc Medical Stations. In particular, there are two completely isolated stations: Tuy Loc and Hop Minh Medical Stations.
Currently, the road to Nam Cuong Ward Health Station is flooded, water is up to the neck, the station has completely lost power. Medical staff had to move all medical equipment to the second floor to avoid damage to the machinery.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Head of Nam Cuong Medical Station, because it is a low-lying area, immediately after receiving directives from superiors such as Minister of Health, Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Provincial Department of Health..., the station has proactively carried out storm prevention and control work.
The station is fully prepared with medicines, equipment, and vehicles to provide emergency care for direct or indirect injuries caused by collapses, burials, and to respond to mass casualties. At the same time, it is necessary to prepare plans, medicines, equipment, emergency vehicles, and human resources for emergency care in emergency situations.
The facility has proactively moved medical examination, treatment and emergency equipment to the second floor to prevent flooding from damaging machinery and interrupting patient care. Ministry of Health staff are on duty 2/24, preparing mobile and emergency medicine for people with diarrhea, falls and allergies.

Visiting and encouraging the Ministry of Health staff who have not been afraid of dangerous storms and rains, persistently staying at the station, overcoming all difficulties to serve the people; Dr. Duong Huy Luong highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Health staff at the station, and at the same time requested the station to check battery equipment, make a list of medicines, plastic boxes to store medicines; prepare a stock of medicines to respond to initial emergencies, especially medicines for people in flooded areas such as medicines for diarrhea, colds, asthma, allergies, etc.

Currently, the water level of the Red River flowing through Yen Bai Bridge, Km280+500, National Highway 37 is close to the bridge inspection vehicle (below the bridge's steel truss system) and there is a lot of trash and floating trees on the river.
To ensure the safety of life and property for organizations and individuals when participating in traffic, the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province prohibits all people and vehicles from participating in traffic from crossing Yen Bai bridge, route Km280+500, National Highway 37 from 18:9 p.m. on September 9, 2024 until further notice from competent authorities (except for forces participating in traffic safety, rescue and relief).
Vehicles moving to the western districts and towns of the province and the western communes and wards of Yen Bai city pass through Tuan Quan, Bach Lam, Gioi Phien bridges or Van Phu bridges and vice versa.
