Explaining the name, she said: “May is cloud or May in English is May. It can be May in 12 months or 'May' in time. It all depends on how you understand it, from your perspective."
May Podcast reached top 1 on Spotify and was listened to in nearly 50 countries; top 6 on Apple Podcasts, reaching nearly 900 thousand listens on Spotify platform; Tik Tok May Podcast channel has more than 140 thousand followers,...
The content from May Podcast is mostly bright, encouraging, and spreads positive energy to listeners. “Listen to the silent reminder of your heart after a long day of busyness that you have forgotten. This is your own
world , only you have the right to contemplate, decide, and imagine your 'crazy' things.”
But few people know that the ability to heal people today is a long journey of Khanh Van struggling with loss. It is her personal journey of awakening to the values of life.
I want us to cherish the present moment, cherish our existence.
“May Podcast was born for a rather sad reason. There was a time when I felt like I was almost 'dead' in my soul when I heard the news of my lover's death. I realized that they really left this world as a wake-up call for me to live differently, cherish the present moment and the people I love more. I realized that each of us still has so many things but they don't know how to cherish them. In particular, they forget that their own presence is a precious thing. So, that's the reason I made the Podcast, I want us to cherish the present moment, cherish our existence and I want to heal everyone because I can still overcome it. In this life, besides life and death, everything is a small matter."

Khanh Van chose podcast as a way to express her thoughts and feelings, stemming from her need to confide and talk to heal herself. “When I sat in my familiar little room and shared through the microphone, I felt comfortable, confident, and able to express my most genuine emotions. At that time, I felt very happy and joyful. Moreover, the form of Podcast was still very new at that time, so I wanted to try new things.”

She said that listening to herself is a great source of inspiration for her. Self-understanding helps to resolve deep pains, at the root, instead of waiting for something outside. “I choose to focus on my mind, listen to myself and try to understand what my heart is always trying to convey to me. I talk to myself to understand myself better. At that time, I felt very peaceful, many problems, deep pains are resolved when we truly focus on our mind. From there, I was able to create podcasts that touched the listeners' emotions, because it was real, so close, so many people responded to me that they cried when listening to May's podcast.”

By clearly defining the goals of the podcast, May quickly achieved great success with her first series “After 11 o’clock at night”. May Podcast is currently ranked No. 1 on the Spotify chart with more than 900,000 listens on podcast listening platforms in more than 40 countries. She is “surprisingly happy” and feels grateful to be able to spread positivity to so many young people. “You know? When I first started doing podcasts, almost no one believed in me. But I always believed in myself that I would do everything right. I believe that: If there is really honey, bees will definitely come. If it is a valuable entity, it will surely touch hearts. So I just believed in myself and did it. In the end, all my efforts were rewarded.”

After the success of “After 11 o’clock at night”, May continues to launch the series “Who am I?”. May said that this series was created to accompany listeners in the process of struggling to find themselves, healing inner wounds, peeling off layers of shells to find the most innocent original, talking to themselves...
Facing the huge "shadow" of "After 11 o'clock at night", May said that she always tries to maintain faith in herself to build "Who am I?" with the mindset of wholeheartedly creating many values for life. And it is true, "Who am I?" achieved impressive results with the number of listeners of series #2 doubled compared to the series "After 11 o'clock at night".
Khanh Van shared more about the most meaningful podcast episode to her. “Episode 4 is quite long but has a large number of listeners. This episode not only has May as the content but also many of May's fans who have written with passion to heal others - those who are in a desperate state, wanting to leave life. Especially, after this episode, many people responded and thanked me for producing such a meaningful episode. After listening to episode 4, many people cried and felt more appreciative of what they have. I am truly grateful for that and happy."

Sharing her perspective on Vietnamese podcasts, she believes that this is still a fertile and potential land. “In my opinion, podcasts will develop strongly in Vietnam in the near future because there are more and more listeners and podcasters. People keep saying that 'The radio industry is dying' but in fact, podcasts are a bright spot, a break from the hustle and bustle of life, helping people return to listening habits like listening to the radio or listening to the radio in the past. The only difference is that podcasts have many diverse and open topics and any individual can do it."
In the future, Van shares her desire to continue pursuing the path of becoming a professional podcaster with the opportunity to expand to other platforms with the mission of healing and spreading positive energy.
