This afternoon, November 11, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that a cold air mass is strengthening in the North of our country.
Previously, cold air had spread to the North since October 19 and was continuously supplemented (strengthened) many times. Nearly a week ago, the most recent cold air wave weakened and temporarily withdrew, but the temperature in the North remained low (Hanoi is still cold at night).
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the afternoon of November 11, at Bach Long Vy station, there was a strong northeast wind of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. From November 13 to 15, due to the impact of cold air combined with high-altitude divergence, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have few clouds and sunny weather. The lowest temperature at night will drop sharply, commonly 16-18 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North, some places below 13 degrees Celsius (significantly lower than the most recent cold air wave).
According to Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the North has been experiencing continuous rain for the past 4-5 days, with high humidity causing uncomfortable dampness. This situation is gradually decreasing and will end from the end of November 11.
From November 12, the North will completely end the humid weather, the weather will change to less cloudy, sunny and dry, creating a transitional period before strong cold air flows in around November 16 or 17.
