Northern region
The price of live pigs today (December 28, 2024) in the Northern region continued to record a decrease in some provinces and cities such as Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong with a price of 68,000 VND/kg. Currently, traders in the North are purchasing live pigs at around 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
In particular, provinces and cities such as Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Nam Dinh, Hanoi, Bac Giang and Thai Binh have the highest live pig price in the country at 69,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities in the region have common live pig prices in the range of 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region
The price of live pigs today (December 28, 2024) in the Central Highlands region recorded stable prices. Currently, traders in the Central Highlands region are purchasing live pigs at around 64,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.
In particular, Dak Lak has had a continuous increase in live pig prices in the past few days, along with Thanh Hoa, which has the highest price in the region at 68,000 VND/kg. Quang Tri, Quang Nam , Quang Ngai and Khanh Hoa recorded the lowest price in the region, reaching 65,000 VND/kg.
Southern region
On the contrary, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (December 28, 2024) continued to record an upward trend in Dong Thap and Hau Giang provinces, both increasing by VND 1,000/kg, reaching VND 66,000/kg. Soc Trang and Bac Lieu also increased to VND 65,000/kg, while Kien Giang, Ben Tre and Tien Giang maintained the level of VND 64,000/kg.
Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 64,000 and 68,000 VND/kg. Of which, Kien Giang, Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces still maintain the lowest price in the region at 63,000 VND/kg.
In general, the price of live pigs today fluctuates in opposite directions in the North and the South. According to a survey, the price of live pigs nationwide is commonly fluctuating from 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
