According to information from Bac Giang Electricity Company updated on June 18, the whole province of Bac Giang has 186 points and areas of power outage, the reason is that the load must be reduced due to lack of power; extremely hot weather, high load must be cut off to ensure safety for the power system; repairing power lines, maintaining transformer stations, preventing electrical incidents...
Ha Tinh Electricity staff promote electricity saving in markets and crowded residential areas.
Compared to the peak days of rotating power outages in early June, the current power outage time in Bac Giang has decreased, there is no longer a power outage from morning to night but only from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm; 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm; 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm...
In Hanoi , in recent days, many districts have no longer had power outages, and the planned power outage has been postponed.
In a report sent to the Prime Minister on the electricity supply situation in the first half of June, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) said that water flow to many hydropower plants has improved, electricity consumption has decreased, and coal supply for electricity production is guaranteed, which will help the North reduce power cuts next week.
However, although the water level in hydroelectric reservoirs has improved, it is still low and there has been no flooding in the lakes in the North, so we still have to reduce the demand for electricity until the water level is stable like in previous years.
Also according to EVN, next week, the expected reduction in the North will be around 2,000 - 2,500 MW, about 20 - 30% lower than the average reduction in capacity in early June and half the reduction of the highest day of 5,000 MW.
Regarding coal-fired thermal power sources, EVN also said that the total capacity that cannot be mobilized due to long-term incidents in the units is 2,100 MW; short-term incidents are 325 MW. It is expected that today, June 18, the two units with incidents, S1 of Nghi Son Thermal Power Plant and S3 of Ninh Binh Thermal Power Plant, will generate electricity again.
Weather forecast for June 18, the North will be hot, with some places experiencing severe heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, with some places above 37 degrees Celsius. In the context of still having many difficulties in power supply and high demand for electricity during the weekend, EVN recommends that people and businesses proactively raise awareness and responsibility for saving electricity to reduce pressure on the national power system, especially in the North.
