The meteorological agency forecasts that around the night of March 18, the North is likely to receive a cold spell of medium intensity. From the night of March 18 to 20, there will be scattered rain and thunderstorms in some places. The weather will turn cold.

During this cold spell, the temperature in Hanoi dropped by 5 - 6 degrees Celsius. Specifically, on March 19, the temperature in the capital was from 20 - 22 degrees Celsius (down 6 degrees Celsius compared to March 18), and in the following days, the temperature remained around 19 - 21 degrees Celsius.
In Cao Bang province, the cold air had a more obvious effect when on March 19, the temperature dropped 9 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day. During this cold spell, the temperature in this province remained at 16 - 20 degrees Celsius.
