Northern heat eases slightly, many places have rain

Today, in the mountainous and midland areas of the North, there will be moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 20-50mm, in some places over 80mm.

In the Central Highlands and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, in some places over 60mm; the rain will mainly be concentrated in the late afternoon and at night.

The heat in the North tends to ease; the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen is hot, with some places experiencing severe heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees, and some places above 37 degrees. From June 5, the heat in Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will continue to ease.

Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees, some mountainous areas below 24 degrees. Highest temperature 32-35 degrees, some places above 35 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

Hot sunny days, sometimes very hot; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 27-30 degrees; highest 35-37 degrees, some places above 37 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Sunny day, especially in the North, hot and extremely hot in some places; in the evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 26-29 degrees. Highest temperature in the North 35-37 degrees, some places above 37 degrees; South 32-35 degrees.

Central Highlands

There will be showers and thunderstorms in some places. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees; highest 27-30 degrees, some places over 30 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

There will be showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the afternoon there will be moderate to heavy rain in some places. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 25-28 degrees; highest 32-35 degrees.

Hanoi

Sunny day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 25-27 degrees; highest 33-35 degrees.
