The North is about to welcome a strong cold spell

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from November 16 to 21, there is a possibility of a strong cold spell affecting the Northern and Central provinces.

Accordingly, the North and Thanh Hoa- Ha Tinh provinces will have cold weather; high mountainous areas in the North may have frost.

Due to the influence of strong cold air, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has strong northeast wind level 7, in some places level 8, gusting to level 9-10; waves 3-5 m high, rough seas.

In the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind is likely to strengthen to level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; waves 2.5-3.5 m high, rough seas.

Due to the influence of strong cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, it is forecasted that from the night of November 15, in the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, there is a possibility of widespread heavy rain, lasting for many days, in which heavy to very heavy rain will be concentrated in the area from Hue City - Da Nang City, the East of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces.
