In the North, in recent days, the highest temperature has been generally below 24 degrees Celsius, air humidity above 70%, cloudy, cold and humid due to cold air strengthening from the east.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said the above situation will last until today. From tomorrow, December 8 to December 11, the North will be affected by a cold, dry air mass with divergent wind fields, so the weather will change to a state of little cloud, deep cold at night and morning.
From December 12, a wind convergence zone above 5,000 m will be established, moving from Upper Laos, causing cloudy weather and rain in the North. At the same time, strong northeast monsoon will flow down, causing the temperature to drop, with the risk of frost and snow on mountain peaks above 1,500 m.
The American website Accuweather forecasts that the temperature in Hanoi will be 15-26 degrees Celsius in the first three days of the week, dropping to 12-20 degrees Celsius by the weekend. High points above 1,500 meters such as Sa Pa ( Lao Cai ) will fluctuate between 8-19 degrees Celsius next week, and 5-11 degrees Celsius by the weekend.
The first two days of the week in the Central region will be cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places due to the strengthening of the cold air. On December 9-11, under the influence of cold air combined with weak easterly winds, the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue will have heavy rain, temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius, and cold weather at night and in the morning. The South Central Coast will fluctuate between 26-30 degrees Celsius.
From now until December 9, the South and Central Highlands will generally have no rain and sunny weather. From December 10, easterly wind disturbances will cause thunderstorms in the area. Temperatures in the Central Highlands will generally be below 30 degrees Celsius, and in the South below 33 degrees Celsius.
