On October 10, My Duc Hospital announced the launch of the 2023 Happiness Seedling Program with the theme “Nurturing Happiness for 10 Flower Seasons”. This is a program specifically for infertile couples in difficult circumstances who are indicated for in vitro fertilization.
Initiated in 2014, this is the 10th consecutive year that the Nurturing Happiness program has been organized. This year, the number of cases receiving treatment support in the program is expected to be 100 couples; this is the highest number ever through the seasons.
Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, senior advisor of My Duc Hospital, said, “Nurturing Happiness” is a program dedicated to couples who are expecting children and longing for a home filled with children’s laughter but do not have the financial means to undergo IVF. That is the motivation for us to maintain and expand the program over the years in the hope of bringing complete happiness to more families.
Couples participating in the "Nurturing Happiness 2023" program will be supported with all costs related to an IVF cycle and embryo transfer (ovarian stimulation drugs, endometrial preparation drugs, corpus luteum support drugs, egg retrieval costs, embryo creation-embryo culture, embryo cryopreservation, frozen embryo transfer).

Participants are those who have been assigned to IVF by specialized doctors (working at one of the IVF centers recognized by the Ministry of Health ) and have no children together, have been expecting a child for more than 1 year and have had a marriage certificate for more than 1 year at the time of application; have not been treated or have failed less than 3 embryo transfers; do not have enough financial conditions to perform IVF; the wife is not older than 37; has normal ovarian reserve; both husband and wife do not have sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, syphilis, etc.); have a certificate of difficult family circumstances/poor household from the local government...
Application period is from October 16 to October 31. 100 selected applications, meeting the program's requirements, will officially begin treatment from November 16 at the IVFMD facilities of participating hospitals:
- IVFMD Tan Binh, My Duc Hospital (HCMC): 40 cases;
- IVFMD Phu Nhuan, My Duc Phu Nhuan Hospital (HCMC): 25 cases;
- IVFMD SIH, Saigon International Maternity Hospital (HCMC): 5 cases;
- IVFMD Binh Duong , Phuong Chi General Hospital (Binh Duong province): 5 cases;
- IVFMD Buon Ma Thuot, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak Province): 10 cases;
- IVFMD Family, Family General Hospital (Da Nang City): 15 cases.

In 2022, the "Nurturing Happiness" program will examine and treat 79 eligible cases who are indicated for IVF but do not have the financial means to undergo treatment. To date, 46 cases have progressed to pregnancy, and 11 cases still have frozen embryos (including embryos that have been transferred and are awaiting beta results).
Cases where embryos have not been transferred or embryos have been transferred but pregnancy has not yet occurred have returned to one of the IVFMD system facilities to continue treatment and prepare for frozen embryo transfer.
