This afternoon (December 29), in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training held the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the Writing Contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" 2023.
According to Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper , Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, the Contest is organized to recognize and honor teachers who have good jobs and achievements, and make positive contributions to the cause of educational innovation. At the same time, it recognizes and honors educational institutions with many innovations and creativity in teaching and learning; spreading the good feelings of students, parents towards teachers and schools.

That is the sentiment, love spread and positive energy that the contest wishes to bring to all those who have been and are sitting in school.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An, Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, representative of the final jury of the contest, said: "Every member of the jury realized that, somewhere, teachers as well as schools cannot avoid wounds. However, there are still many beautiful images that appear sparklingly, in the admiration of students, the admiration of life. Each entry is a testament to the value that teachers and schools dedicate to life."
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An, the contest has created a great resonance and positive effects in schools in particular and society in general. From 2019 to 2022, the contest continued to be held and was a resounding success. Like a fragrant breeze, the contest has spread more and more widely, attracting millions of teachers and students from all over the country to participate.

At the Closing Ceremony of the Writing Contest on Deep Memories of Teachers and Schools in 2023, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that the contest is not only an opportunity for students to express their gratitude and affection for those who have guided them, but also an opportunity for those working in education to recognize and re-evaluate the value and importance of the teaching profession in shaping the future of the young generation.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training is focusing on building school culture and educating students' personalities. Therefore, the contest focuses on student education more than ever. The number of 80,000 entries shows that we always have a tendency towards goodness and humanity in any circumstance.
The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that the contest will be increasingly widespread and continue to be organized with better quality, so that teachers and schools will always be missed by everyone.
Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong shared: "All authors are winners. Each work is a sentiment, gratitude, and good memories of teachers and school. Each person who writes about teachers and school becomes purer, more holy, and has more strength to continue the journey. That is the greatest success."
Through the contest, the feelings about teachers and school are always a source of pride, a place for students to look forward to, a place to nurture the future, personality, and build a rich and civilized country. Therefore, the Deputy Minister expressed his respect and acknowledged all the good feelings of the authors towards teachers and school.
Expressing his opinion, Major General and writer Nguyen Hong Thai acknowledged that the contest does not seem to be a literary competition but a place to record real acts of kindness and sacrifice in the life of schools and education.
"It is not necessary to be a writer, every teacher, every student of every generation writes about their memories. It does not have to be a typical character, just ordinary teachers, we will have millions of monuments in writing, real monuments will be built firmly in our hearts, in the hearts of everyone", writer Nguyen Hong Thai emphasized.
After two months of launching, the Contest has received the response and participation of many authors nationwide and many quality works. The Organizing Committee has received more than 80,000 entries, sent via email and post. The Preliminary Jury selected 44 works for the Final Round. The Jury selected and awarded 30 prizes (2 collective prizes and 28 individual prizes). According to the jury, the quality of the entries this year was quite good. Many of the entries left a deep impression, due to the careful investment in both content and presentation. |
