At around 8am the same day, on Nguyen Thi Det Street, Dong Thanh Commune (formerly Hoc Mon District), many people around smelled a strong stench coming from a black 4-seater car that had been parked there for many days.
The car was locked. When the police arrived and opened the trunk, they discovered the decomposing body of a woman in her 20s.

Mr. Thuong, a resident living near the area, said the car had been parked there for about five days. "I didn't see anyone getting in or out of the car. Maybe the incident happened at night," Mr. Thuong shared.
Immediately after the discovery, the area was cordoned off for examination and investigation. A representative of the Dong Thanh Commune People's Committee said the body was badly decomposed and the face could not be identified.

Police took fingerprints to identify the victim and collected related evidence at the scene.
According to initial information from the license plate, the vehicle owner was identified as a local resident. Currently, the authorities are working with relevant people and urgently expanding the investigation to clarify the cause of the incident.
