The performance and record setting took place on the evening of October 31, within the framework of the Autumn Delicacies Food Festival - Cheer Fest 2025 of the first Autumn Fair in 2025.
The work was registered with the Vietnam Records Organization, Vietnam Records Institute (VietKings) to set the record "Vietnam Exhibition Center VEC model made of sticky rice and bean flowers with the largest size in Vietnam".

The preparation for the record-setting performance took three consecutive days, from cooking, coloring, molding to assembling and decorating details. The model is nearly 1.8m long, 2m wide and 0.8m high.
The entire body of the model is made from 410kg of red sticky rice cooked from yellow sticky rice. The details of the patterns, domes and surrounding landscape are meticulously handcrafted by chefs from 100kg of green beans and white beans to recreate the work with natural colors and structures simulating real architecture.

The Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center model from 510kg of sticky rice and beans ensures both aesthetic quality and food safety. The sticky rice portions are then divided for people and visitors to enjoy.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter , Traditional Cake Artisan Tran Thi Hien Minh said that she and the chefs agreed to choose sticky rice with gac fruit and beans as the main ingredients.
Sticky rice is made from sticky rice - a symbol of Vietnamese rice civilization, the red color is associated with luck and abundance. The bean flower is cleverly created, attracting attention, bringing freshness and modernity to a traditional dish, stimulating the taste buds of visitors.

"Each dish will have different preparation and processing methods to ensure it suits the taste and aesthetics of diners. With a dish that has set a Vietnamese record such as "Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) model made from sticky rice and bean flowers", the ingredients used must be more carefully used and presented meticulously to create prominence and uniqueness," Ms. Hien Minh emphasized.
The chefs selected red-orange gac fruits that were free of cracks or bruises. The white beans were processed multiple times to create a “paint” layer that covered the outside of the center.
The professional chefs of Lac Hong Palace ( Hai Phong ) had to work continuously for 12 hours without rest to bring to the public a "masterpiece of Vietnamese cuisine".

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (in Hanoi ) excitedly shared her feelings after eating the record-breaking dish.
"Even though it's a familiar dish, I still feel a very unique flavor. I'm especially impressed with the decoration. The shape is so beautiful that at first I didn't think it was a dish," she said.

The first Autumn Fair - 2025 has the theme "Connecting people with production and business". With the participation of 34 provinces/cities, corporations, general companies, domestic and international enterprises on an area of over 130,000 m2, more than 3,000 booths of nearly 2,500 enterprises; the fair expects to welcome 500,000 visitors per day.
The first Autumn Fair is not just a shopping destination but a super festival of experiences, where technology, culture, cuisine and art come together.
Coming to the fair, people can enjoy shopping as well as experience unique cultural, artistic and entertainment programs imbued with traditional national culture at the first super fair held. The fair will end on November 4.
