Opening 468 new rural roads - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

Implementing the Rural Transport Development Project in the province for the period 2021 - 2025, localities have actively invested in construction of works according to plan; opened 468 new rural transport routes with a total length of 659.08 km; built 64 new bridges. The total implementation cost is over 1,332 billion VND.

Rural traffic infrastructure of Bao Lac commune is gradually being completed.

Of which, 19 new district roads were opened, with a total length of 40.28km; 238 commune roads, with a total length of 329.5km; 211 village, hamlet, and intra-field roads, with a total length of 289.3km; 64 new bridges were built for people with a total length of 1,211.21m, including 4 suspension bridges.

Renovation and repair of a total of 1,082 rural traffic routes, with a total length of 1,705.52 km, a total cost of 2,980.904 billion VND, people contributed 128,953 working days and 17.525 billion VND, including 148 district roads, with a total length of 507.84 km; 82 commune roads, with a total length of 757.7 km; 352 village, hamlet and intra-field roads, with a total length of 439.98 km; 8 people's bridges, with a total length of 486 m. Up to now, 55 communes have met the traffic criteria, accounting for 82.5% of the plan for the 2021 - 2025 period.

Regarding the work of completing and improving the quality of irrigation systems and natural disaster prevention and control at the commune level, ensuring sustainability and adaptation to climate change. The whole province has 3,743 irrigation works, most of which are medium and small-scale, including: 23 irrigation reservoirs, 81 pumping stations, the rest are canals, dams, and sluices. The total length of canals is about 4,961 km, of which 2,708 km of canals are solidified, reaching 54.61%; the remaining 2,252 km of earthen canals. During the period, 431 works were invested in repair and upgrading, with a total length of 284.55 km, with a total cost of over 288 billion VND.
