
Recently, at the Abu Sitta Presidential Palace in Tripoli, Libya, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt and concurrently to the State of Libya, Nguyen Nam Duong, presented his credentials from President Luong Cuong to the Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi.
At the reception following the presentation of credentials, Chairman of the Presidential Council Mohamed al-Menfi congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong on assuming his duties in Libya, affirming his desire to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Libya and Vietnam.
Chairman of the Presidential Council Mohamed al-Menfi expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of economics , trade, investment, and energy, and particularly hoped for Vietnam's support and sharing of experience in national reconstruction. He affirmed that Libya always welcomes and facilitates foreign businesses, including those from Vietnam, to invest in Libya.
Expressing his honor at being appointed as the Vietnamese Ambassador to the State of Libya, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong said he would do his utmost to contribute to promoting the increasingly expanding and deepening relationship between the two countries.

Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong affirmed that over the past 50 years, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Libya has been strengthened and developed. According to the Ambassador, the potential for cooperation between the two countries remains very large; therefore, in the coming time, the two countries need to promote cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, and energy.
Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong also expressed his hope that Vietnam and Libya would continue to support each other in multilateral forums, especially within the framework of cooperation with ASEAN, and that the two countries would strengthen exchanges of delegations and expand bilateral cooperation in the future.
