IMPRINTS FROM THE EXHIBITION SPACE

From December 19th to 21st, 2025, the Supply and Demand Connection Program between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities will be held at the former night market area in Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 24 provinces and cities, along with nearly 400 businesses, cooperatives, distribution systems, and e-commerce platforms.

Opening ceremony of the Supply and Demand Connection Program between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities in 2025.

Approximately 3,000 types of goods were displayed and introduced, including many OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and regional specialties.

Participating in the program, Dong Thap province has built a display, introduction, and product experience space with an area of approximately 300 m², including 34 stalls from 34 businesses, cooperatives, and production and trading establishments, showcasing 96 characteristic products and OCOP products with 3 stars or higher.

The booth features an open design and harmonious layout, reflecting the unique identity of the "Land of Pink Lotus" region, creating an impressive focal point that attracts visitors.

During the event, the Dong Thap booth attracted more than 3,000 visitors who came to explore, learn about, and exchange information about the products.

Many items such as lotus products, fish sauce, dried salt, honey, processed mango products, basa fish, etc., are highly appreciated by consumers, especially products made from local agricultural produce, with attractive packaging, suitable as gifts.

Alongside product exhibitions and presentations, businesses in Dong Thap also actively participate in supply-demand connection conferences, sustainable supply chain connections for Vietnamese goods, focused B2B networking, and the development of online sales channels within the framework of the program.

This is seen as a practical opportunity for businesses to grasp consumer trends, the requirements of modern distribution systems, and expand their partner network; creating momentum for linkages and aiming for sustainable market development.

TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Through networking activities at the program, many businesses in Dong Thap have initially achieved positive results.

Visitors experience and sample OCOP products from the province.

For example, Ngoc Yen Agricultural Food Production Co., Ltd. has connected with and signed its first order contract with several distributors in Ho Chi Minh City, and has also contacted major supermarket chains such as WinMart, Co.opmart, Mega Market, and Bach Hoa Xanh to offer its products.

My Long Agricultural Services Cooperative also signed a product consumption contract with an OCOP store in Ho Chi Minh City.

A representative from Ngoc Yen Agricultural Food Production Co., Ltd. (Thanh Binh commune) stated that signing the order at the program not only helps the company expand its market in Ho Chi Minh City but also motivates it to improve product quality and packaging to meet the requirements of modern distribution systems.

These results demonstrate the practical effectiveness of participating in large-scale trade promotion programs, which not only promote products but also create opportunities for local businesses to gradually participate more deeply in modern supply chains.

Notably, the Dong Thap province booth received a Letter of Commendation from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for its positive contribution to the overall success of the OCOP Products Week, regional specialties, and the Supply and Demand Connection Program in 2025.

According to Mr. Dang Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, participating in the program has contributed to promoting the image of Dong Thap province, introducing characteristic products to domestic and foreign consumers; at the same time, it helps businesses grasp market demand, technical regulations, and consumer trends to adjust production and business strategies, improve product quality, improve packaging and branding, and build long-term market development plans.

Despite the achievements, some production and business establishments have not yet proactively participated in connecting with and seeking markets; the application of new sales methods such as livestreaming and e-commerce in the program has not been fully exploited.

In the coming period, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to monitor and support businesses and cooperatives in maintaining and expanding consumption connections with signed partners; at the same time, it will coordinate with relevant sectors and localities to support the improvement of product quality, design innovation, application of digital technology, AI, livestream sales and online advertising, in order to diversify business methods and bring Dong Thap's specialty and OCOP products closer to markets inside and outside the province.
