A business director was arrested for tax evasion.

On May 20, Dong Nai Provincial Police announced that they had just initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and executed an arrest warrant for Nguyen Thi Nhung (51 years old, residing in Long Khanh City, Dong Nai), Director of TH.M. Company, to investigate the crime of tax evasion.

According to Dong Nai Provincial Police, in 2015, TH.M. Company of Nguyen Thi Nhung was leased by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee 2 plots of land No. 14, No. 15 (map sheet No. 33) with a total area of ^30,961.1m2 located in Buu Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai) to invest in an eco -tourism site. Term is 50 years, land rent is paid annually.

However, after that, TH.M Company did not implement any items of the project, but also requested to change the form of land rental payment from annual payment to one-time payment and was approved by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.

Police searched the residence and seized relevant documents.

By 2018, TH.M Company had transferred the land use rights of the above 2 plots of land to Q.CH. Transport - Logistics and Trading Joint Stock Company (in Ho Chi Minh City) with Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huyen as General Director.

Dong Nai police said that through professional measures, they determined that TH.M. Company, with Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung as director, had evaded corporate income tax of more than 3.5 billion VND.
