According to the inspection conclusion of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs , the Vietnam-USA College in Hanoi committed many violations in the use of lecturers and student recruitment when it had not registered for additional vocational education activities.
Since then, the chief inspector of this ministry has issued a decision to administratively fine the school with a total fine of 112,500,000 VND.
The school was administratively sanctioned for using teachers who did not meet the conditions, standards, and qualifications to teach at college and intermediate levels, and for not registering additional vocational education activities when enrolling in information technology and applied arts groups exceeding the total annual enrollment scale of the majors and occupations.
In addition, the ministry inspector also imposed additional penalties: suspending vocational education activities for two months for the information technology group and four months for the applied arts group.
According to the inspection conclusion, the school has not implemented or has not fully implemented the provisions of the law on vocational education.
Some occupations lack training equipment. 61 teachers and lecturers teaching practice/integration do not have vocational skills certificates as prescribed. Enrollment exceeds capacity, arrangement of theory classes exceeds capacity.
Vietnam-USA College Hanoi has three campuses in Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem and Cau Giay districts, Hanoi. The school was established in 2007 under the name Hanoi College of Economics and Technology. In 2021, the school changed its name to Vietnam-USA College Hanoi.
This is a private college owned by Hanoi Vietnam-America College Joint Stock Company. The school enrolls and trains students at college and intermediate levels.
