On September 23, heavy rain continued, the water level of Ngan Pho River rose, many roads were flooded. In particular, in Kim Hoa commune, Huong Son district, Dinh market was flooded, water rose into many households' houses, disrupting their lives.

“In just the past 5 days, we have had to move our belongings to escape the flood twice. We just hope that this flood will stop because life here is so difficult. Yesterday, we had just moved our belongings down when the flood receded, but early this morning, the flood water started to rise, and all family members rushed to move their belongings up higher again,” said Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang (resident of Am Thuy village, Kim Hoa commune).

According to the Ha Tinh Hydrometeorological Station, the water level on the Ngan Pho River is rising very quickly. At 5am today (September 23) at Son Diem station it was 1,048 cm, above alert level 1. It is forecasted that from September 23 to September 24, a flood will occur on the Ngan Pho River with a flood amplitude of 4-7m upstream, and on the La River from 1-2m. During this flood, the peak water level on the Ngan Pho River is likely to reach alert level 2-3, and the La River will be close to alert level 1.
