In low-lying areas of Hue City such as Huong Tra, Phu My Thuong, Hoa Chau, Phong Phu, Phong Dinh, Dan Dien, Phong Dien, etc., severe flooding has occurred, causing significant traffic difficulties. Some riverside roads have strong currents, and authorities have set up barricades and warning signs to ensure safety.

According to Mr. Ho Don, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phong Dien Ward, Hue City, heavy rain caused 173 households in the area to have their houses flooded to a depth of 2-2.5 meters. Provincial Road 6 and Provincial Road 17 were also deeply flooded in many places, forcing local authorities to erect barriers to prohibit vehicles from passing through. In addition, the rapidly rising Bo River caused damage to the goods of 20 small traders at Phong My Market, the exact extent of which has not yet been determined.

Currently, Hue Power Company (PC Hue) has temporarily cut off electricity to approximately 25,500 customers, accounting for 7.4% of the total number of customers in the area. The power outage is being carried out as part of a disaster prevention plan to ensure the safety of residents and protect electrical equipment when water levels rise.

Hue Power Company is providing assistance to residents seeking shelter from floods at the Hue Power Company's guesthouse (100 Nguyen Hue Street, Thuan Hoa Ward). This activity aims to share the difficulties with the community amidst the complex flood situation. The guesthouse is equipped with safe, dry rooms, drinking water, instant noodles, and some essential necessities.

On the same day, the Hue City Civil Defense Command announced that the flood level on the Bo River was at alert level 3, and the Huong River was approaching alert level 3. Forecasts indicate that over the next 24 hours, flood levels on these rivers will continue to fluctuate at dangerous levels, posing a high risk of deep flooding in many communes and wards, and a very high risk of flash floods and landslides. The level of natural disaster risk is level 3.
