At this time, when coming to Thanh Ha, you will see many bee farms. If you are not afraid of being stung by bees, you can experience harvesting honey with people who follow bee colonies to collect honey here all year round. Bee colonies are located in many communes such as Thanh Lang, Cam Che, Thanh Thuy, Thanh Quang, Thanh Hong.

According to Thanh Ha district's professional departments, this year there are fewer lychee flowers than in previous years, so the number of bees coming to collect honey is not as high. Therefore, the honey yield is also less.

When harvesting bees, beekeepers must wear full-face hats to avoid being stung by bees. Bee farms have a minimum of 100 colonies and a maximum of 1,500 colonies (equivalent to the number of beehives).

If you burn some smoky wood right next to the beehive, even if the worker is not wearing a hat, he will not be stung because bees are afraid of smoke.

The bridges are full of bees collecting honey. If the weather is sunny, honey can be collected every 5 days. If it rains a lot, honey can be collected every week.

Pure honey is extracted from beehives. Each beehive yields about 5 kg of honey.

After being filtered of impurities, the lychee honey bottles are put into glass bottles. The selling price of honey at the collection point is about 70,000 VND/kg.
