Accordingly, from December 10, 2025, all organizations, businesses and individuals when purchasing tickets must provide full identification data to serve management work. For Vietnamese tourists, the necessary information includes the CCCD number or personal identification code for those who are not old enough to be issued an ID card. For international tourists, it is required to provide the passport number and nationality. In the case of children or people who are not eligible for documents, it is necessary to declare the information of the guardian or sponsor (full name, CCCD/passport, phone number) for verification.

These data are provided directly to ticket sales and control staff at Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, only serving the purpose of managing tour activities according to regulations and ensuring security, data safety and privacy of tourists. Currently, the tour only requires providing name, age, gender and nationality.
At the meeting, the units discussed the roadmap, implementation methods and solutions to widely disseminate to travel businesses, partners and people. The Ha Long - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board said that data collection will be completed by January 1, 2026, and at the same time, information technology will be strongly applied in the ticket sales system.
Adding identification information is a step to improve the effectiveness of state management of tourism activities, ensure safety and security for tourists, and at the same time build a synchronous database to serve the comprehensive digital transformation of the management board in the coming time.
