PSG is ready to spend big for Rashford. |
Since joining Barca on loan, Rashford has made a strong comeback with 6 goals and 9 assists in 17 matches in all competitions. His impressive form has made Barca's board seriously consider activating the optional buyout clause worth 28 million pounds, much lower than the 40 million pounds that MU requires from other clubs.
However, the deal that seemed within Barca's reach is now under threat. Spanish sources say PSG are ready to send an offer worth 44 million pounds, almost double the preferential fee reserved for Barca. PSG believes that this figure can turn the situation around and quickly close the strategic deal.
If successful, Rashford will become the highest-paid homegrown player in MU history. Alejandro Garnacho currently holds this record when he joined Chelsea in the summer of 2025 for 40 million pounds.
