Muong Khoa commune mobilized machinery and manpower to repair landslides on inter-village roads.

According to reports, landslides occurred on Provincial Road 136 at three locations in Hao Nghe and Nam Cung villages, involving approximately 1,000 cubic meters of soil and rocks. Particularly, at a location in Hao Nghe village, a landslide occurred on the negative slope, spanning about 80 meters in length and covering half the width of the road. On the road from the commune center to Na An village, there was one landslide on the negative slope, approximately 50 meters long. At these landslide sites, soil and rocks from the positive slopes, along with fallen trees, blocked the road, disrupting traffic and posing a danger to people and vehicles.

A section of road in Hao Nghe village was damaged by a landslide on the embankment, losing half of its surface due to heavy rain .

Due to heavy rain, 3 hectares of winter-spring rice crops, almost ready for harvest, in the villages of Nam So, Phieng Tam, Nam Cung, Na An, and Ho Ta were flooded; 2 hectares of tea plantations in Nam Cung village were damaged by landslides; and 1.5 hectares of vegetable crops were flooded.

Police, military , and local people assisted the family of Mr. Chảo A Lai in Nậm Cung village in relocating their home away from the landslide-prone area.

In particular, in Nam Cung village, heavy rains caused a landslide that affected one household, destroying the entire house and many of the family's belongings. In addition, several other households are at risk of landslides, and the commune is continuing to assess and compile a list of affected households.

Some areas within the commune are at high risk of landslides.

Immediately after the incident occurred, the local Party committee and government promptly visited, encouraged, and assisted the family in moving their belongings, mitigating the consequences, and ensuring safety. At the same time, they mobilized forces and resources to quickly clear debris and trees, repair landslide areas, and restore smooth traffic flow, stabilizing the lives and livelihoods of the people in the area.

The leaders of Muong Khoa commune directed the police, military, and local people to mitigate the damage caused by the natural disaster.

Given the complex weather situation, the People's Committee of the commune has directed relevant authorities to intensify inspections of areas at risk of landslides and erect warning signs in dangerous areas. They are also strengthening public awareness campaigns to improve people's understanding of disaster prevention and to limit travel through high-risk areas during heavy rains. The commune has also requested the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Steering Committee, and relevant departments and agencies to provide financial support for disaster relief, assistance in stabilizing housing and production, and repairing roads damaged by landslides.
