On the afternoon of October 1, coach Vu Hong Viet and center-back Lucas Alves of Nam Dinh Club attended a press conference before the match against Eastern team (Hong Kong) in the group stage of the 2025-2026 Asian Cup C2.

Nam Dinh do not want to share points on away field

Coach Vu Hong Viet said: "Nam Dinh Club is ready. Through tactical analysis, we have clearly understood the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent. The grass at Mong Kok Stadium is different from our field. Last year, we played on this field and knew certain difficulties. However, I think this is not too big an obstacle and the whole team still sets the highest goal."

Agreeing with coach Vu Hong Viet's opinion, center-back Lucas said: "We are very happy to return to the Asian Cup C2 and especially to play at Mong Kok Stadium once again. However, our team has not changed much. Above all, with the coaching staff's tactics, we believe that we will win again. There will be certain differences when playing in different arenas, but the important thing is that we share a common spirit of determination and victory."

Last season, also at this stadium, Nam Dinh won another Hong Kong team, Lee Man, 2-0 in the first leg (in the second leg at home, Nam Dinh won 3-0). The grass surface of Mong Kok Stadium is ginger grass, which is a bit difficult to play on.
