National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is a typical cultural - economic - social and tourism event of national and international scale combined with Hue Festival 2025, associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue province (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and responding to and welcoming Hue to become a city directly under the Central Government.
The organization of the event is expected to be a very important boost to help the socio-economic development in general and tourism in Thua Thien Hue province in particular, creating conditions to attract resources for investment and development, building new and attractive products, contributing to creating momentum for socio-economic development of the province in 2025 and the following years.
Activities organized within the framework of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 will focus on 4 main groups of programs: Spring Festival "Spring of the Ancient Capital"; Summer Festival "Shining Imperial City"; Autumn Festival "Hue in Autumn"; Winter Festival "Winter of Hue" with more than 170 national and provincial events.
Of which, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and central agencies organized 8 national-level activities; Thua Thien Hue province hosted 62 activities (including 46 activities of the National Tourism Year program and 16 activities within the framework of Hue Festival 2025); provinces and centrally-run cities organized 102 activities in response to National Tourism Year - Hue 2025.
With a series of activities and events held in 2025, the province expects to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists, of which international visitors account for about 38 - 40% of total visitors; total revenue from tourism reaches about 10.8 - 11.2 billion VND. At the same time, Hue tourism in 2025 is ready to develop strongly on the foundation of the ancient capital with a new opportunity in a new era of the country.
In recent years, the National Tourism Year has been successfully organized in provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Quang Nam, Binh Thuan, Dien Bien, etc. Activities within the framework of the National Tourism Year have been implemented on a national scale, demonstrating the connection and cooperation between localities in tourism development. Through the organization of the National Tourism Year, awareness of all levels, sectors, business communities and people about the position and role of tourism in society has been increasingly raised; revenue from tourism activities has increased rapidly, attracting many strategic investors to the tourism sector. |
