Young man abandons motorbike and runs away when meeting traffic police

On June 12, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Binh Province Police said that Task Force 141-QB chaired by this unit had just discovered and arrested Pham Van Trung (27 years old; residing in Nam Ly Ward, Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province) for illegally transporting drugs.

Previously, at around 8:00 p.m. on June 11, Task Force 141-QB, led by Major Truong Vinh Hoang, while patrolling and controlling in Luong Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, discovered a motorbike with license plate 75F-109.20 driven by Trung with many suspicious signs, so they stopped it for inspection.

However, Trung abandoned the vehicle and fled. The task force mobilized forces to pursue and promptly captured Trung.

Upon inspection, Trung's pants pocket contained 5 pink tablets, 7 brown tablets and 6 plastic bags containing white crystals suspected to be drugs.

Trung confessed that the 5 pink tablets were methamphetamine, the 7 brown tablets were candy-like drugs, and the 6 plastic bags containing white crystals were ketamine.

The working group made a record of the arrest, temporarily seized the exhibits and vehicles and handed them over to Quang Ninh District Police for investigation and handling.
