At the meeting, the People's Committee of Nam Tra My district presented a proposal to issue a Resolution on the project to adjust the general urban planning of Nam Tra My district center, period up to 2030 and 2035; and a proposal to approve the content of the project to plan the construction of Nam Tra My district area, period up to 2030.
Accordingly, the central urban area of Nam Tra My district is identified as Tak Po, with a total planning area of about 196.17 hectares and a population of 5,392 people (in 2022). Currently, the socio -economic development situation of Nam Tra My district and the district's administrative center has been changing dramatically, with the formation of residential areas, administrative centers, trade - services, healthcare, education... the urban face of the area is gradually taking shape.
On that basis, Nam Tra My will focus on urban development in the existing urban center area, complete the arrangement, concentrate the population, synchronize the infrastructure, develop the urban area associated with cultural preservation and tourism development... By 2030, the central urban area of Nam Tra My district will reach about 6,000 people, by 2035 it will reach about 6,590 people.
The planning of the central urban area of Nam Tra My district aims to meet the legal documents to prepare the project dossier for establishing a town, and at the same time serve as a basis for establishing an urban development program, building an investment plan to build technical infrastructure, social infrastructure of the urban framework. From there, it will be built into an economic - political - cultural - social center of Nam Tra My district according to the criteria of a type V urban area.
