Improving the quality of transportation infrastructure projects.

(DTO) On the afternoon of January 13th, the Dong Thap Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Works (hereinafter referred to as the Transportation Project Management Board) held a conference to summarize its work in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026.

Attending the conference was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

According to the Transportation Project Management Board, in 2025, the unit's leadership closely followed key tasks, gradually innovating its leadership and management methods; and decisively, synchronously, and effectively implemented all areas of work.

In 2025, the Transport Project Management Board was allocated a capital plan of over 1,211 billion VND, comprising 14 projects (including 8 ongoing projects; 3 new projects and 3 projects in the investment preparation phase).

By the end of the year, the unit had completed and put into use 3 projects: Tan Phong Bridge; Upgrading and expanding Provincial Roads 861, 863, and 869; and Construction of the section from National Highway 50 to Cho Gao Bridge, Component 2 of Provincial Road 864 Project (Road along the Tien River). The value of work completed and disbursed reached 100% of the allocated capital plan.

Inspection, supervision, and anti-corruption efforts, as well as the practice of thrift and prevention of waste, have been significantly strengthened in the management of investment in transportation infrastructure construction projects. Areas such as digital transformation, building cultural institutions, emulation movements, mass organization activities, and social welfare work have all met the requirements…

Certificates of commendation will be awarded to collectives and individuals who have excellently fulfilled their duties in 2025.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu commended and highly appreciated the Transport Project Management Board for disbursing 100% of the allocated funds in 2025.

In addition, the unit received a capital increase of approximately 50% compared to the initial allocation, but it promptly disbursed all the allocated funds, ensuring timely progress; and effectively promoted internal unity.

In 2026, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu requested that the Transportation Project Management Board improve the quality of its staff, officials, and workers to ensure they are competent, professional, innovative, and accountable. Every task must focus on four key aspects: inspection, verification, auditing, and post-audit.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu requested that the Transportation Project Management Board improve the quality of transportation projects. Each transportation project must leave a positive impression; ensuring the quality and technical standards of the construction. At the same time, good coordination with relevant units and localities is essential.

Awarding the title of Emulation Fighter to individuals.

Simultaneously, efforts are being made to improve the quality of bidding documents, ensuring the selection of qualified appraisal, consulting, design, and contractor firms; to enhance the quality of information technology applications and digital transformation; and to focus on data connectivity. The Transportation Project Management Board prioritizes training and professional development for its staff and employees.

On this occasion, the Transportation Project Management Board awarded the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier at the Grassroots Level" to 6 individuals; the title of "Advanced Worker" to 5 collectives; and Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 4 individuals for excellent performance in 2025.
