Even at home, I can still check the number of principal and interest payment periods for my family's loan via my smartphone. This replaces the previous situation where I had to call or directly meet the head of the savings and loan group (TK&VV) or the credit officer of the Social Policy Bank to ask about issues related to policies or the amount to be paid for my family's loan"...
The implementation of policy credit management applications has contributed to raising awareness among bank staff, entrusted socio- political organizations, and savings and credit groups in a convenient, professional, and modern way. Through the digital applications of the Social Policy Bank, customers proactively grasp information about the principal and monthly interest they have paid and how much they still need to pay to have a payment plan. This is very important because people can control their loans, avoid losses and risks, and limit delays in periodic principal and interest payments. On the bank's side, the dissemination of policies and guidelines of the Party, the State, and the industry to the people is more flexible and faster. Previously, people had to wait 5 to 7 days for disbursement, now it is reduced to only about 1 to 3 days. Loans, debt collection, and interest payments are all updated automatically and transparently, helping borrowers easily check and manage their finances.
To improve the efficiency of policy credit management, Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank has deployed many highly practical digital technology solutions such as the policy credit management application operating on a smartphone platform, supporting bank staff, heads of savings and credit groups as well as paying interest and deposits of group members through the policy credit management application and borrowers can look up loan information online. The deployment of the policy credit management application helps increase transaction processing speed, reduce service time, ensure transparency and limit information errors between banks, savings and credit groups and borrowers. The Mobile Banking application helps customers make payment transactions, transfer money, pay loan interest right on their mobile phones... Services provided to customers of the Mobile Banking application include: financial services, money transfer and payment of electricity, water, telecommunication bills, train tickets, air tickets; phone top-up, e-wallet, tax payment; QR Pay... and non-financial services such as checking payment account information, deposit accounts, loans; looking up transaction history...
Through the implementation of digital transformation at Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank, poor households and other policy beneficiaries have access to the bank's financial products and services. Thereby, contributing to improving the intellectual level of the people, narrowing the gap between mountainous and lowland areas, between urban and rural areas, between the poor, policy beneficiaries and other social groups; promoting the digital ecosystem process of comprehensive finance and supporting the implementation of social security programs, towards sustainable poverty reduction. Thanks to the promotion of the application of information technology in policy credit management and transactions, by early November 2025, the total outstanding debt of Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank reached over 16,000 billion VND with over 251,000 customers borrowing capital. Implementing the digital transformation program, up to now, 100% of communes and wards have deployed the program and used Mobile Banking transaction utilities with tens of thousands of policy loan customers conducting transactions via the bank's application on mobile devices.
In addition to positive results, digital transformation at the Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank still faces some difficulties and problems that need to be overcome, such as: Technology infrastructure in rural, remote and isolated areas is still weak, internet connection is sometimes unstable; people's technology skills are not uniform, and the habit of direct transactions is still common. In the coming time, the Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank Branch will continue to improve technology infrastructure, implement 100% of internal business processes in the electronic environment, minimize paper documents and expand utilities on the policy credit management application, aiming to serve customers more professionally and conveniently.
