Enhancing cultural heritage management knowledge for over 300 trainees.

Over 300 trainees received training in heritage management from the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the morning of December 5th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a training course to enhance knowledge of state management of cultural heritage in 2025.

The training course was attended by approximately 300 participants representing Cat Ba National Park; state management departments under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Con Son - Kiet Bac Relic Management Board; the Hai Phong Museum; and cultural officials and civil servants from 114 communes, wards, and special zones in the city.

At the conference, delegates received information from officials of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) on important contents of the 2024 Law on Cultural Heritage, Government Decree No. 208 dated July 17, 2025, and other decrees and circulars related to the planning, preservation, and restoration of historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, and world heritage sites. This equipped participants with basic knowledge and improved their skills and experience to apply in their management work, enhancing the quality of advice and implementation of restoration and preservation activities at the local level.

The city of Hai Phong currently has 3,981 historical sites, including 2 World Heritage sites; 9 special national historical sites, 257 national historical sites, 722 historical sites classified at the city level, and 33 national treasures.

The city also boasts two intangible heritage sites recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage sites (the practice of worshipping the Mother Goddess of the Three Realms by the Vietnamese people, a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, and Ca Tru singing, a heritage in need of urgent protection), over 1,200 traditional festivals, and 24 national intangible cultural heritage sites.

With its rich collection of historical and cultural relics, timely updating of new legal regulations helps localities effectively preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage.
