- On January 21st, at a thematic meeting on the implementation and application of shared digital platforms in the province, Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the need to enhance the responsibility of leaders in the digital transformation process.

According to the report at the meeting, the province is currently operating multiple digital systems and platforms in a coordinated manner to serve the activities of state agencies, citizens, and businesses. The province is using two online video conferencing systems simultaneously: Vmeeting and Pexip. These systems are connected to the Government 's online video conferencing system and those of central ministries and agencies.
The official email system operates stably with over 37,700 assigned accounts. The document management and operational system, with 27,800 accounts, ensures 100% electronic document circulation and digital signatures, processing an average of over 1 million documents annually online.

Platforms serving citizens and businesses continue to be maintained and expanded. The Lang Son Digital Citizen application has over 30,000 accounts; the iSee virtual assistant supporting public services receives more than 10,000 visits annually. The administrative procedure processing information system receives and processes nearly 500,000 applications per year.
For officials and civil servants, the province has implemented a personnel record management platform ensuring connection with the national database; the Lang Son Digital Civil Servant Virtual Assistant platform officially launched in December 2025, and to date, 4,700 officials have been granted access, initially proving effective in handling work.
The Digital Border Gate platform and the Intelligent Monitoring and Operating Center (IOC) are operating stably. The IOC currently integrates 9 monitoring modules, contributing to improved management efficiency, enhanced interaction, and the reception and processing of feedback and suggestions from citizens.

The entire province is currently operating 105 information systems and databases, including 46 provincial-level systems and 59 systems deployed by the central government; the centralized storage infrastructure is being gradually improved, creating a foundation for the formation of a shared data warehouse to serve the province's digital transformation goals.
At the meeting, delegates discussed and exchanged ideas on topics such as: smart classroom models; database cleaning; specialized databases; digital applications; provincial information systems, etc.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the information systems and shared digital platforms deployed in the province have contributed to improving the efficiency of leadership, management, and public service delivery; promoting the processing of documents and files in an electronic environment, shortening the time for resolving administrative procedures, reducing costs, and increasing transparency.

Regarding future tasks, the comrade requested the Department of Science and Technology to continue comprehensively and thoroughly reviewing and evaluating shared software and digital platforms in the province, and then propose solutions for their development and use in the future, focusing on integrating artificial intelligence into information systems; adjusting or discontinuing the implementation of applications and information systems that are not truly necessary or effective. Reviewing investment projects in infrastructure, technical equipment, and software serving digital transformation in the 2021-2025 period to accelerate their commissioning and use; proposing the implementation of a provincial-level digital architecture framework and provincial-level digital data system in January 2026.
Regarding departments and agencies, the comrade requested that they continue to review and develop data development plans for each sector, clearly identifying core data, responsibilities for updating and sharing data to the province's shared data warehouse; strengthen training and capacity building for officials and employees in using digital platforms; and enhance the responsibility of leaders in digital transformation.
Agencies and units are implementing smart classrooms, digital learning resource repositories; electronic health records; and applying digital transformation in the management and operation of terminals and yards at border gates.
The comrade also requested that telecommunications businesses prioritize improving infrastructure quality, expanding coverage, and accelerating the deployment of 5G networks in key areas, while committing to service quality and ensuring information security for the digital platforms they provide.
