The Congress approved the Political Report of the Ward Front for the past term as well as the goals and tasks for the coming term. Accordingly, in the past 5 years, the Ward Front and its member organizations have overcome many difficulties and challenges to successfully carry out socio-economic and national defense and security tasks. In particular, the Ward Front has coordinated to mobilize community support to effectively carry out social security work. Specifically, it has given over 5,000 gifts to poor households and disadvantaged children, worth nearly 774 million VND.
In addition, the ward has built 17 new Great Unity houses, worth more than 1.8 billion VND from the budget for the Poor at all levels; repaired 7 houses, costing nearly 155 million VND. The rate of households achieving the title of cultural family each year averages 98%/year, an increase of 8% compared to the Resolution of the Congress.
Mr. Vo Thanh Quan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Vinh Phu Ward People's Council, said that the achievements of the ward in recent years have had great contributions from the Front and member organizations from the ward to the neighborhoods.
According to Mr. Vo Thanh Quan, in the process of organizing and implementing the tasks, the Ward Front always closely follows the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the Resolution of the Ward Party Committee and the Action Program for the 2019-2024 term, while at the same time well implementing the 5 Action Programs set forth by the Ward Front and the emulation movements launched by the City Front.
Speaking at the congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van, member of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An City, praised the achievements of the Vinh Phu Ward Front in the past term. At the same time, she believed that the Front members of the new term would always uphold their spirit, responsibility, and enthusiasm for work, and together with the Ward Front, successfully implement the goals set for the 2024-2029 term.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van emphasized that the Ward Front needs to continue to effectively implement key tasks such as: Promoting its role and position in consolidating and expanding the great national unity bloc, strengthening the role of social supervision and criticism; implementing quality social security work, helping the poor, building cultural neighborhoods, civilized wards...
The congress elected 31 delegates to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, term XIV, 2024-2029. At the first meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao was consulted to continue as Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward for the new term.
On this occasion, Vinh Phu Ward People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 23 individuals for their achievements in the work of the Front during the past term.
