Hot weather covers the whole country, some places over 38 degrees

Today, the western mountainous region from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen is hot with the highest temperature commonly 35-37 degrees, some places over 38 degrees.

The Northern Delta, Southern Son La, Hoa Binh and the Southern region are hot with the highest temperature from 35-36 degrees, some places over 36 degrees.

On May 17, the Northwest and the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will be hot and extremely hot with the highest temperature ranging from 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places over 39 degrees Celsius. The Northeast will be hot with the highest temperature ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places over 37 degrees Celsius.

Sunny day, except for hot weather in South Son La and Hoa Binh. Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees, Northwest region 18-21 degrees.

Northeast

Sunny day, hot in the plains; showers and thunderstorms at night. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees, some places below 22 degrees. Highest temperature 31-34 degrees, plain areas 34-36 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature 31-34 degrees, western mountainous areas 35-37 degrees, some places over 38 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Lowest temperature 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature 32-35 degrees, northern mountainous areas 35-37 degrees, some places over 38 degrees.

Central Highlands

Sunny day, hot in some places; showers and thunderstorms at night in some places. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees; highest 31-34 degrees, some places over 35 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

Hot during the day; showers and thunderstorms at night in some places. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees; highest 33-36 degrees, some places above 36 degrees.

Hanoi

Hot sunny day, no rain at night. Lowest temperature 24-26 degrees; highest 34-36 degrees.

The North and Central regions are again experiencing a heat wave.

In the next 1-2 days, the Northern region and from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have hot and extremely hot weather with the highest temperature exceeding 39 degrees; expected to last nearly a week.
