The week-long event takes place from April 26th to May 1st (corresponding to the 10th to 15th days of the third lunar month). Unlike other localities, the unique feature of this cultural, sports , and tourism week is often associated with the Minh Hoa Mid-March Festival. This is a traditional festival with a long history and is a typical cultural and spiritual activity within the local cultural heritage system.
In 2024, the Minh Hoa Mid-March Festival was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The highlight of the week is the vibrant and diverse cultural, artistic, and sporting activities, such as: the men's and women's volleyball championships; competitions in traditional sports and folk games like crossbow shooting, tug-of-war, stick pushing, swinging, stilt walking, and throwing the "xoang" (a traditional game); and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival fair at Quy Dat market.
During this period, from April 22nd to May 1st, many activities promoting tourism and cuisine, as well as exhibitions showcasing the achievements in economic , cultural, social, and national defense and security development of the locality, will also be organized.

To date, Dan Hoa commune has basically completed its preparations. Despite being a disadvantaged locality, this year Dan Hoa commune has registered to participate fully in cultural, artistic, and sports activities, such as men's and women's volleyball and traditional sports.
Many local specialties are also being hastily prepared by the people to participate in the local food stalls at the week-long event. Dan Hoa is a locality with a tradition of winning high awards in traditional sports such as crossbow shooting and stilt walking. For nearly half a month now, the locality has been selecting athletes to train.

Pham Van Bac, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dan Hoa commune, said: "The Minh Hoa Culture-Sports-Tourism Week and the Mid-March Festival in 2026 is of great significance, because this is the first year the event is being organized in the context of the two-tiered local government model officially coming into operation."
Therefore, the local authorities are determined to participate with the utmost effort, aiming to bring their own unique "colors" to the week. Although the activities are not organized within the locality, we still consider this one of the key cultural, physical education, and sports events of the locality."

To ensure the week-long event is a success and offers unique traditional cultural experiences, Minh Hoa commune, where the event is taking place, has also been diligently preparing the necessary facilities at the activity site.
According to Tran Thi Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Minh Hoa commune, the 2026 Minh Hoa Culture-Sports-Tourism Week and the Mid-March Festival is not just a local festival, but has become a shared spiritual asset and a deeply rooted traditional cultural activity of the people of Minh Hoa, Kim Phu, Kim Dien, Tan Thanh, and Dan Hoa communes. Therefore, organizing this year's week is significant in preserving, promoting, continuing, and affirming the beautiful traditional cultural values of the area. This is an opportunity for localities to continue to interact, connect, and promote the image of their homeland, people, and development potential, especially in the field of cultural tourism and tourism. This contributes to promoting socio-economic development and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
