Regarding the operation of financial switching, electronic clearing, and payment systems, in 2025, NAPAS will continue to promote the implementation of solutions to enhance safety and security, ensure the continuous operation of the system, and improve the system's processing capacity. This will affirm its pioneering role in building a modern and secure national retail payment infrastructure.

Besides ensuring smooth operation, NAPAS also always focuses on risk management, monitoring suspicious transactions, and preventing fraud and forgery. In 2025, NAPAS signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Department A05 – Ministry of Public Security and collaborated with 10 member organizations to deploy a transaction risk warning system based on SIMO data from the State Bank of Vietnam. As a result, member organizations will benefit from the services of monitoring suspicious, fraudulent, and forged transactions from both the A05 and SIMO systems.

In 2025, NAPAS sent over 3.4 million suspicious transaction alerts to customers, helping them proactively stop transactions suspected of fraud or forgery. Simultaneously, NAPAS collaborated with the Vietnam Banking Association to develop a Handbook for Handling Accounts/Cards Suspected of Fraud, contributing to the creation of a transparent, secure, and sustainable payment environment. By the end of 2025, NAPAS had deployed this tool in 47 banks.

Regarding the expansion of payment products and services, in 2025 NAPAS accelerated the deployment of VIETQRPay for domestic retail transactions and VIETQRGlobal for cross-border transactions. Besides the countries already connected, including Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, in 2025, NAPAS completed the deployment of bilateral QR code payment connectivity between Vietnam and China, specifically for Chinese tourists making payments in Vietnam. In the future, NAPAS will continue to cooperate with member organizations to expand the VIETQRGlobal payment acceptance network in Vietnam, while also strengthening cooperation with other countries such as Singapore and South Korea. In addition, NAPAS also deployed VIETQRMe (a customer-generated QR code payment solution) for retail payments, public transport (buses, metro), and parking lots.

NAPAS also launched the Apple Pay payment service with NAPAS cards on Apple smart devices; and simultaneously expanded the Tap and Pay service to devices using the Android operating system, thereby increasing payment convenience for users.

In order to provide a new and modern payment method for people using public transportation, NAPAS has also collaborated with relevant parties to complete the deployment of NAPAS card and Apple Pay payments on Metro Line 01 Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien and the inner-city bus network in Ho Chi Minh City, and is continuing to expand payment on public transportation in Hanoi .

Entering 2026, NAPAS's goal is to ensure the quality of service and safe operation of the financial switching and electronic clearing system, while also promoting the deployment of payment products and services and expanding the VIETQRPay and VIETQRGlobal payment acceptance networks.

In the context of the positive outlook for digital transformation and the digital economy , and with the entry of more electronic switching and clearing service providers into the market, NAPAS is committed to working closely with its member organizations and partners to continuously expand its scope, improve service quality, and contribute to the overall growth of electronic payments.
