Two classrooms at Tak Ngo school (belonging to Ngoc Linh Primary Boarding School, Village 2, Tra Linh Commune, Da Nang City) were cracked and seriously sunk after prolonged heavy rains, forcing teaching to be temporarily suspended.
The above information was confirmed by Ms. Ho Thi Diep, a teacher at the school, on the afternoon of November 1.
According to Ms. Diep, on October 30, during a heavy rain, she heard an explosion. When the rain stopped, she discovered that the floor and inside the classrooms had many vertical and horizontal cracks, running from the base of the wall to the roof, with the potential risk of collapse at any time.

The concrete floor in the school yard was broken into pieces, heaving and spreading into the classrooms. Inside the classrooms, the ceramic tiles also appeared to have large cracks and subsidence.
A similar situation occurred in front of the school gate, where the concrete foundation cracked and slid down the slope, creating a deep crevice. The fence and pillars also collapsed and cracked, causing danger.
Faced with this emergency, Ms. Diep took pictures and reported them to the school's Board of Directors.
"The current situation of the two classrooms is very serious, unable to continue learning, dangerous for both students and teachers," Ms. Diep emphasized.

Tak Ngo school currently has 2 classrooms with 34 students and 2 teachers. The road to the school is still eroded due to floods, making access difficult.
Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Tran Vy, Principal of Ngoc Linh Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said that this school has an old block and a new block built last August, including classrooms, public offices, restrooms and a solar energy system, with a budget of 500 million VND from donors and local counterpart funds.
Mr. Vy affirmed that the current classrooms are no longer safe to use. He expressed his hope that local leaders will soon survey and arrange land in a safe and stable location to build a new school, so that teachers and students can feel secure in teaching and learning.
"In the immediate future, the school will develop a plan to move the students to the main boarding school to study. However, the first and second graders are still young, so they will face some psychological and financial difficulties in the beginning," said teacher Nguyen Tran Vy.
