HAGL must see its own shortcomings
In the most recent rounds of V-League 2025-2026, HAGL played with great effort. They also earned a relatively large number of points. From round 8 to round 11, HAGL earned 5 points (1 win, 2 draws), more than the total number of points they earned from round 1 to round 7 (3 points, through 3 draws). However, the number of points that HAGL earned from round 8 to round 11 is only an encouragement for the mountain town team itself. If compared to the entire V-League in general, that number of points is nothing.

HAGL still needs to play better in the remaining stages of this season's V-League to avoid the risk of relegation. To play better, the mountain town team needs better personnel, especially those in the attack line.
In the recent rounds, in terms of thinking and tactics, HAGL has played more offensively than they did at the beginning of the season. Their forward players have been more diligent in controlling the ball, approaching the opponent's penalty area more. However, HAGL's attacking power is still not strong enough to force the opponent's defense to make mistakes and be defeated.
Additional personnel for the attack line
The reason is because the attacking personnel of HAGL is currently quite thin. Organizing midfielder Marciel Da Silva is quite alone in the role of organizing the play. Vietnamese-American striker Ryan Ha is not in stable form, foreign striker Conceicao Dos Santos is disappointing, while young talent Tran Gia Bao is only 17 years old, not strong enough to shoulder big responsibilities in V-League.

Center back Dinh Quang Kiet has clearly matured compared to last season, helping to strengthen HAGL's defense.

HAGL needs more midfielders with better ball-holding ability, like Tran Minh Vuong and Chau Ngoc Quang last season, to share the burden for Marciel. The mountain town team also needs more strikers with better speed, sharper scoring ability and more stable performance, compared to the strikers they currently have.
The advantage of HAGL is that, compared to the beginning of the season, the spirit of the players under the hands of Technical Director (GĐKT) Vu Tien Thanh is more confident, the group of young players playing in the defense such as goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, central defenders Dinh Quang Kiet and Nguyen Van Trieu have all matured significantly compared to last season. Therefore, if HAGL can add good attacking players during the mid-season break, their squad will be more balanced, the possibility of success in the race for relegation with the mountain town team will also increase.

There is an interesting detail, after 18-year-old center back Dinh Quang Kiet scored to help HAGL equalize 1-1 against Thanh Hoa Club in round 11 of V-League, HAGL Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh celebrated by crawling on the field in a very unique way. This was not a spontaneous action of Mr. Thanh, but a promise of the Technical Director to Dinh Quang Kiet.
At the same time, that is also the wish of Mr. Thanh in particular, and HAGL fans in general, for the team. They want to see more explosive moments like that from the mountain town players, so that the members of this team can have the opportunity to express their celebrations to the fullest like Mr. Thanh just did. To have more moments like that, HAGL needs to add quality personnel to the attack.
